Personal definition- mental health includes difficulties like felling sad or angry. Q2.Depression- there are many signs and symptoms of depression for example: behaviour- not getting things done at work or school. depression is a serious illness that has an impact on both physical and mental health. Substance abuse can make depression worse because taking drugs can control you to the point where you don't know who you are anymore. Bipolar- anyone with bipolar disorder experiences separated variations in mood swings. bipolar disorder is known as Mani-depressive illness. bipolar begins in early adulthood and appears before 35 years of age. children can develop this disease in simple forms. the signs and symptoms of bipolar disorder are, increased energy, racing thoughts, decreased sleep, rapid speech and many more. Anxiety- anxiety is a medical condition known as being stubborn and experiencing extremely stressful and frustrated states, it can interfere with everyday life and impact a persons ability to function on a daily basis. there are two types of anxiety's mild and severe, severe anxiety can be very devastating, mild anxiety is unclear and unsettling. Informal- Talking to family and friends there easy to talk to because you know them personally and you will feel comfortable around them. Q4. Headspace is the National Youth Mental Health Foundation it provides early intervention services to 12-25 year olds. headspace covers four areas: physical health, mental health, alcohol and other drug services. it is a counselling place for family's, friends and health professionals that can be accessed through this website. I think resilience can assist a young person that can be vulnerable to experiencing mental health issues. resilience is a process that has the ability to recover with time and effort.
